A river was flowing silently, between the green woods. Two drops of blood fell in the river as a wounded swan was flying over that flowing beauty. Swan's half of the feathers were in red from the blood and a feather fell into the river from the wings as the swan was swinging hard. A girl wearing no colour walked down to the river, sat at
the shore, and started splashing the water.
The feather in the stream was picked by a hand. The hand was softer than the feather, was holding it so gentle as if the feather was too fragile and warmth of the hand felt like a hug from the loved to the feather. The girl holding the feather wondered, why was the feather half red. She assumed it was colour red and thought it would be a good time killer if she could paint something. She took a big leaf and was searching for some colours. She looked at the sky and went like..Ah haa! There we go, found them. She dipped the feather in the sky and painted the colour on the leaf. She looked down, found water, and dipped the feather in it and painted it on the leaf. She felt suspicious as the colours of the sky and the water were similar. Time skipped, dusk arrived, it was a beautiful Sunset and the colour were eye catching.
The girl dipped the feather in the sunset and painted it on the leaf. She set up a bonfire and again dipped the feather in it and painted. The colours were similar again. Suspense continued.
The next day girl came to the same place and found a rainbow in the sky. She dipped the feather in the rainbow and coloured it on the leaf. The rainbow had her eyes holding forever.
Later in the dark she found the moon and the stars which were way too elegant. She took out the feather and dipped it in the dark sky and painted it on the leaf. She wondered why the dark
sky is more dominant than the rainbow which had seven colours. She questioned herself, she was perplexed and she did not know whom to ask. Suddenly the air around the girl
started shifting warm and delightful. Then came the wounded swan flying and landed in front of the girl. The swan took a human form and started talking. Hey colourless girl what
is the matter? Swan asked. Who are you? Said (Asked) the girl. Whoever you want me to be. Said the swan. Then be my answer. Said the girl. With pleasure. What is the question
then? Asked the swan.
What is this sky? How many could this sky be? Sometimes it is as same as water and sometimes as fire. Sometimes it flexes a beautiful rainbow with seven colours and sometimes it projects even more beautiful dark sky with just one colour. If only this single sky can be these many, what the universe has hidden within? Asked the girl..
Swan said... let us forget about the universe or the sky. Once look at the painting you made. It was just a simple big leaf before you coloured it. However now it is the most beautiful thing in this entire jungle. What you say? Asked the swan.
The girl could not take her eyes off the painting, I take it as a yes. Said the swan. Girl turns towards swan wondered. Now look at the feather you are holding, how colourful it has turned? How small it is yet it made that big leaf so colourful that even you could not take your eyes off. Spoke the swan and added more... I made a wounded feather to reach you as it symbolises the colourless you. When sky colours can give beauty to our lives, what does it matter if it has so many forms?
Look at the feather. Colourful right? But before, it was just wounded,
covered in blood just like you, no purpose, and it was just flowing were
the stream of the river would take it. Now after you gave it colours, it
got its purpose and even it made a small yet a beautiful difference to
something.
Just think. If this universe and you could give a small feather so many colours, how many colours this universe has hidden and how many colours you can wear. If this small coloured feather could make such a beautiful painting, what difference could a coloured yourself can be? The universe has many things to give. It just awaits for the ones who could really own them. The ones who are the real worth giving for...said the Swan....And the swan vanished as it saw the colour of the universe in just one blink of the girl..!
