The Color Grey

The color GREY often misguides me

Is it white, or just black that I see?

So confusing and often misleading to the eyes

There is an absolute lack of clarity and lot of why’s

It gets represented in the dark thunder clouds

That threatens but also brings blessings under murky shrouds

Interwoven in the silvery hair of the fair maiden

Is it an end to beauty? Or the beauty of an experienced brain?

It exists in the mighty elephant and the vulnerable rodent

Even on roads that see death in tragic accident

So many colors it hides within multiple shades

Even lurking in eyes when life slowly fades

Is the color positive or just plain negative?

My perception is it? Or am I just imaginative?

Just as the monster within me lies together with the angel

It is just a color seen differently from every angle.
