THE CITY

Should I be charged with treason?

For I betray my people to conquer you

All the valleys I cross and mountains

These miles appear to me as very few

Oh, idyllic land! Give me a reason

Why am I so drawn to you?

During winter days when all life comes to a standstill

Why do I long to dwell in you?

Invading you means letting you explore me too

Discovering who I am in your presence

Stirring up emotions pure and true

I am hopelessly attached to your essence
