In the leafy bower, I chance to spy,

A trinket, aloft on a weedy twig.

Lonesome, it dangles in silent slumber high,

An earthly jewel of gold, toiling as it jigs,

Over the verdant glades, beneath a dwarf tree.

Oh! The sweetest toll, it whispers to me!

And when the monstrous gale, they try

To shrivel and shake the earthen home,

But it dared to not forsake, as it coyly passed by.

Verily! It ponders of flight on skies aglow,

Under the spectacle of its silky shell.

A skyward charm on the sprig below,

Handsomely twinkles like a pleasant bell.

Over verdant glades, beneath a dwarf tree,

Oh! The sweetest toll, it whispers to me!

As hours cascaded by, Fracture brings sweet delight

In shades of brilliant hue, a splendid butterfly,

Its wings of aureate praise, traversing the height!
