The Chroma Spectrum

Scattered on the ground,

Are the colours

Of life-

To which I have

Remained a stranger

For a long time;

From the palette

Of vibrant hues,

I shift my eyes-

In search of monochrome

In the nature dyes;

Can I find it

In those distant

Hazy hills,

In the backdrop

Of the

Frosty, foggy morning-

Is the question

I ask :

While I sit

In the nostalgic rain

With coffee by my side,

Whose vapours

Take me

Near the hills-

Up to the sky;

There I fall

As the glowing grey pearls

Of rain

Upon the green grass,

Embracing, the shade;

My grey fades

To green,

As I caress

The tint

Of spirit;

But there amongst life,

I spotted

The muted tones-

Hiding,

Under the cloak

Of mint and moss,

Clasping the soul

Like a lover

Of one’s own;

And there comes the sunlight,

Under the brilliance

And radiance of whose,

I vaporise,

Back to the clouds

And stay there,

Afloat;

Waiting for another rain

To take me back

To the spectrum

Of chroma,

And reveal

The hues of life.
