The Cave of Wonders
By Akash.K
Attic-a place more serene than green,
Which contains every little bean,
Of the Live, Of the Past with things seen and unseen;
Even a small beam of light which passed through,
Had myriad stories with it to brew;
Those aren’t dusts which are spread;
For they were once the touches of our ancestors that we once loved and bred;
It’s aromatic odour makes us travel through time,
Through the nostalgic brown, warm embraced days, like a mime;
Why do we need cassettes and tapes near?
When these webs here-display the lives vivid and sheer;
Just as I unfold the clothes and stretch,
The ones wore them resurrect and vanish like a glitch;
I hear the lingering echoes of my grannies afar,
Those kind of calls which makes us to go for;
Watching and gliding through those tiny presents and albums,
Makes us yearn to relive those days just for those tender hugs;
Those Polaroids show us smiles which has vanished long back;
Those are now preserved through those long, rusty racks;
It's a mystery how these attics effortlessly succeeds it’s mission;
By making us live the lives of those days vivid through it's vision;
The otherworldly yet calm place to wander;
Which always makes me wonder,
That this attic’s not just a room-but a cave of wonders!...

Must be the water☝🏻🤔
This feels like opening a forgotten doorway into time. Every line carries the warmth of memories that refuse to fade
