The Cat and Death.

By Randeep Maan

Chapter I

Cat

Mysticism personified is a Cat staring into your eyes.

The stories and whispers in the ancient corners of life have a belief that cats have been here even before Time.

In this immensely intricate fabric of being, the beginning of Nothing does not exist.

Everything always has been and Nothing has ever been in the same breath for a Cat ; a conscious amalgam of nothingness and of it all.

Life is something that goes on until it doesn't.

Chapter II

Death

Death is the absolute destruction, the Beginning, the End.

Before Death, a flower wouldn't blossom because of the absence of the inevitable decay.

Time only came into existence when Death came around.

This is the deepest our comprehension of this fabric goes.

Death was surrounded by all of it - the Dark, the Light, the Creation, the Destruction, the Tangible and the Abstract, the glimpse from the "future" and Death's own non-existent "past".

Any and every moment, folding on itself, forever.

There was Beauty and There was Despair and There was this Cat.

Chapter III

The Urban Legend

Cat was Death's only company and they both span eternities together , Cat sat in Death's lap that is.

Death was fond of it and drifted through the clouds of nothingness in no particular direction.

The reason its said that cats have nine lives because Death started to decay.

Death experienced a sense of its own dissolution into nothingness, it was scared and it moved.

The Cat pounced off its lap.

That is why its bad luck when a "cat" crosses your way, out of nowhere, probably because "death" is near by.
