The Bitter Truth Of Sweet Honey

You know those kinds of people

Made with glass and honey,

Flaunting their bodies in the sun like they are the only honey

Dancing in their judgment less world

Jesus why didn’t you kept your word?

I too want to be the main character,

I too want to flaunt my words in a world brighter,

I too want people to laugh at my jokes despite not being funny,

Oh, I forgot there are only a few made with glass and honey.

What is it really to be like glass and honey?

Its those sleepless nights where you wonder what you weigh,

Its those words you overthink which people say,

And still, you know that you are okay.

Glass and honey aren’t those with fame,

They are those who can confidently say their own damn name.

I now understand Jesus kept his word

Cause in reality those with glass and honey

Are those made with plastic and money.

Oh, you dear young girls, don’t you worry,

You too, someday will be real glass and honey.
