The Bird

Overlooking the shining fields,

Saw a bird fly, chasing the train I was travelling on

Somehow it couldn't quite catch on with me

I was disappointed,

I actually enjoyed the beauty of the bird,

It bloomed a bliss in me,

Little did I know that it had a different destination and it flew over there,

But not with me,

And I wondered, if it would've caught up with me if it thought so,

And something lit in me,

Sharp Pain of sudden unrealistic expectations?

Maybe the realisation that this wasn't about the bird.
