The Betwixt Generation

Darwin said it best,

It's always the survival of the fittest.

Seems like yesterday,

When the kids played with hay,

But now glued to the screen all day.

Phones with keypads

Now you have an I Pad

Funny to be a ninety’s kid

Never knew when,

All these new tech slid.

We saw it all

Playing with a real ball

And now we can dance in a virtual ball.

Oh how the old greats had to fall

The Internet cafe used to be the thing

Now we have an Internet connected robot in all its bling.

If any generation can boast living in two eras

The ninety’s kids are surely going to be the one

Who for sure had the best fun

Of both worlds in one.

Nevertheless it's sad to see

The once many trees

Now all felled

With birds their singing seized.

Big families now all nuclear

Electric now replacing car gears

Economic instability causing fear

Threatening to shut down the places,

That we once held dear.

Survival of the fittest,

Yes it's true.

If the people like you,

Be it a brand or a crew,

A tech or a taboo,

None stays the same,

Because the world likes everything new.
