The Best Person I Met

The most I thank among all people I met,

In my forty-three years of age, is my therapist.

That direction,

and at times, that assertive voice,

when she’s said ‘I need to get strict’,

or letting me know, on WhatsApp, that she’s always there for me.

Guiding me always, past two years, with dedication,

I remember days, during sickness, going  to her,

she’d patiently guide me,

January this year, I told her I needed a friend and a guide most,

She said, consider me both.

In my mental condition of psychosis,

we choose isolation,

for years and years I have lived almost alone,

But by January, I had already recovered,

all I needed more was some friend, or people to socialize,

I had a job, things seemed better.

She’s made me walk,

both, the cerebral and real,

You wouldn’t believe it, but I had no self-confidence,

I didn’t feel real,

the anxiety was tearing me apart,

I can’t be more indebted to her,

Each and every word I write, is after July ’21,

and that was a self-destructive, depressive piece of an undygnosed psychotic.

Only after months, I became coherent.

Only because of her unwavering support.

Today she’s made me write or express again,

urge me to participate here,

she’s my life’s most towering figure,

for two years, I have been a wayward,

initially I didn’t trust her at all,

Now it feels it was her mission to see me

back again with vigour,

with a mental toughness like never before,

with confidence,

she’s done what no one did, and still answers my every query,

Scientifically.
