The Beauty of Night

By Muhimtulay Ammara Mohammed Amin

When twilight laid it’s hush across eyes a veil of shadows wrapped the weary skies

The moon enthroned ,wore diamonds for his crown

A sovereign robed in bridal white ,come down

And in dusky hours, the world was stilled ,

By twilight’s hand, with dream and silence filled

The sable clouds and obsidian dome

Played the nocturne’s gloam

Cloaking the sky with starlet shroud

Playing symphonies for celestial cloud

The night appears with silver light

Gently and slowely on the sleepy skies

It welcomes the silent shadows drifting in the night

Quietness and beauty calms the cries

The trees that stood proud bowed and fell to dreams

Fireflies lightening the silent screams

Whilst time fleets witnessed by rivers and mountains

As it’s all mirrored on wtaer’s of oceans and seas

In front of all this stood I

who dreamed of a dream where wonder’s lie deep

questions remain shallow and I !  ,        once again I, dream of something I can only imagine

in a kingdom of dreams, the crown of my wishes, the throne of my imaginations

I was welcomed to

A place filled with stars and dreams

What a scenery this must be, to be swept away after one glance of mine like dust and sands of hourglass falling down like countable bits of grain

Ah! What a vision it was , No longer alive!

Buy! Nolonger when I’ve captured my dream with words atleast!

No treasure can match this heavenly sight

When twilight laid it’s hush across my eyes for in the hush between all what lies

My heart stays where it must belong
