The Beautiful Fall

For the first time –

When I saw the stars twinkling in the night sky,

The Milky Way stretched like a dotted scarf,

And the full moon glowing with its silver halo—

I was in awe of the beauty of the night sky.

When my eyes met the smile of red roses,

The pink cherry blossoms blooming bright,

And tulips swaying in the gentle breeze—

I was mesmerized by the beauty of flowers.

When I saw the golden sunrays at dawn,

Kiss the mountains, the meadows,

And sunset sky splashed with purple hues—

I marveled at the beauty of colors.

When I watched the endless waves roll,

Sparkles dancing on the calm blue ocean,

And ships lining along the distant horizon—

I cherished the beauty of the vast expanse.

But all these and many more—

Beautiful things that sparkle the eyes,

Faded into oblivion as I saw you,

I realized then what true beauty was.

I froze as our eyes met,

And the rushing time stood still;

My heart raced, my face flushed,

I knew I was, with changes filled.

A gentle breeze caressed my hair,

A soft smile lit your beautiful face,

In that instant, I knew for sure—

I had fallen...completely for you!
