The Athiest

The athiest

I heard it on the radio,

A lady called to say,

She was struggling with money,

And hoped God would help today.

Being an arrogant atheist,

I thought I’d have some fun,

If she wants a gift from God,

Then perhaps I’d give her one.

I bought lots of groceries,

So many, it filled a crate.

I told my secretary to deliver it,

Now I just had to wait.

“Tell her it’s from the Devil,

When she asks,” I state.

The lady was overjoyed,

As she opened up the crate.

“Don’t you want to know who sent it?”

“No need,” the lady turned to say,

“When God gives an order,

Even the Devil will obey!”
