The Alluring Abode

By Kripa

Let's shed into hearts,

The honey-drops of hope;

Let's turn the passions,

Into divine blessings;

Let's get absorbed entirely,

Into the charms of our habitat...

Let's make those green forests

Bloom all over again!

In this loam where-

The flowers of rain sprout;

let’s get and combine,

each tear-like flowing stream-

Into a whole river,

which hugs the shore and smiles!

On the awestruck green-

Paddy fields and the sharp,

Yet sweet edge of coconut leaves,

I saw the incredible sight-

Of little birdies and dragonflies,

Building their home-sweet-home!

Let's finally take a vow,

To make all the happenings-

Of the dawn and dusk,

A golden ecstasy of vision;

Where all our hearts, right there,

Jump with amusement and joy...!!
