That Letter I wrote

Every time I explain someone to you

I always tell them what had happened between us rather than how I felt so drawn to you

I never told them about the times you would giggle when I was acting serious knowing I was nervous

I didn't think I could deserve these feelings

Every time I walk past you the anxiety affects me

or is it even anxiety

Is it the fear of you blinding me

The fear of throwing up those beautiful butterflies

Is it the reason to break ties

that dream I had a few weeks ago

maybe then i was too weak to know or realize that it was the wrong time or not for me

all that I could think about it how long this eye contact will last

hoping it will last forever

waiting and watching for your response

I gave you that letter

hoping you would stand up and talk to me

the yearning for your smile, the way you speak, that soft facial expression

I could look into your eyes until I hate them

I hate the way you look at me when I walk past

I hate the way you never tried to speak to me

I hate seeing you laugh with others

the way my anxiety smothers me

telling me that i should step away or take a risk

my body telling me of the rejection i needed from you to stay away

that dream of you pushing me away

but i kept thinking

what was the letter worth to you
