That Gent, Mine Own Prince of The Seash're

Updated: Jul 26, 2025

Like an ever so slight shifting wave,

a ripple midstream, an undulation,

he had come floating adrift to my waters.

But at the long-awaited end of it all,

like a stone dislodged midstream

by the fated winds,

he roved,

pulling away from the deep

where I had been intent on him to stay.

The seasons changed with him gone

yet again,

my crystal waves meandered

as the dunes of the scorching desert,

and I had never known better

that he had been my heart-tide all along.
