Tender is the night

Along the way, I stride and swayed A moment he led me astray

Crossing paths with him I say

A garden laying within I swayed He was affable

Witnessing him along the path, I wander Approaching him in serene

As he welcomed openly, I stammered Swoon into his hands in Irene

I was amenable

With acceptance, I stride and sway, Into the grasp of him who led me astray; Into my latest ways

I stride and sway.

It was effable

At long last, a journeyed seemed to end, As he who led me astray

Thou I had walked and stride to the end Laying down into the wind, I swayed
