Feelings fade away, do they?

Those tender feet, she covers in socks

She cries by his side when he is mocked

She cries by his smile when he graduates

Preparing herself patiently she awaits.

Go my son ! live your dream

A single spoon in whipped cream

A single scoop of ice cream

A single soul and a single scream

But slowly steadily she shimmers

as he gleams living his dream.

She ain't waiting for him no more

Every night by the door

She gets along with her chores

Sometimes she even snores!

She walks by his side on all his treks

She walks by his strides to the golden gates

preparing herself passionately she awaits.

An alone aggregation of bills and math

An alone alluring meal she hath

An alone wheel and an alone wrath

But slowly steadily she stops

as he goes following his path.
