Tell Them

Yarubbi

When they put me away,

They will ask if you know why I did it.

Tell them it is because you always kissed me so soft, no matter how much I made your blood boil.

Tell them that you looked at me like I was the reason your eyes fluttered open in the morning.

Tell them how you said my name like it was a wonder that no one else had discovered, but you.

You tell them that your whispers of sweet everythings into my neck made me feel like the world went quiet.

Tell them how you leaned into me the minute I was close to you, as if you were immediately drawn to me by a destined gravity.

My sweet handsome darling, tell them that you made me feel a love that I never felt before and knew that I could ever feel again.

Tell them that you yearn for me to know all that you do.

Tell them that your heart was born beating for me as mine was for you, That your heart understood how to love mine before even I did .

Tell them that no matter how many times I begged you, you still left?

Tell them how I was devastatingly shattered when you took back all the warmth you brought.

Tell them why it made no sense to me how you could so easily pass on your love to another.

Then at the end of it all,

You should tell them what you made me do.

You should tell them that you made me lose myself.

You should tell them that I gave you what no man has ever had from me and you gave it back to me, battered and torn.

Tell them that’s exactly how I had to leave her too.

My baby, tell them, you promised to be my pulse forever,

But you lied.

If I won’t be your everything then I will be your imposed eternity.
