Sunset Shimmers

By Dhwani Chopra

Sitting beside each other,

Looking at the sinking sun in front.

Legs dangling at the edge of a cliff,

Yet our tounges, still stiff.

My heart, pleading to say, ”The moon is beautiful, isn't it?”.

But had to replace it with a sunset instead.

For long, our love remained unspoken- yet never broke.

All I wanted was to be redamered by you,

But you could never comprehend the thought of you being the Sun to my Moon.

But somehow, the sunset seemed prettier to me, since I mean't nothing to you.
