Feels like it's about time,

And I should let go.

But should I really?

Begged for forgiveness,

Cried in guilt,

Despised every image of mine...

But I think it's about time,

And I should let go.

Though, should I really?

Should I run behind you again,

Or should I set you free?

Should I cry my eyes out for you to see,

Or should I be a carefree bee?

Should I tell everyone how much I miss you,

Even though I could never say hi?

My eyes never stopped searching for you.

Should I put it this way?

Or should I say they never looked for you,

Because you were always here in them?

And though I couldn't say it,

My heart, I never obeyed.

Tired of carrying this weight,

Yet, I might not say

That I wished for you to stay,

Maybe not forever,

Just a little longer...

So I could paint you in my poems,

And write all about you in my paintings,

Say softly how I wrote that song,

For you, I didn’t mind doing any wrong.

For it felt, somewhat, with you, I belonged.

A home for which my heart longed,

A space where I wouldn't be wronged.

Even if I sang it ,crooked, a hundred times,

I looked at you and found my warmth,

My cold breeze in summer,

A warm place, never a shunner.

I looked at you and found my home,

A home so sweet, I'd want to stay,

A home so beautiful, for which I'd want to pray.
