Stormborn

By Roopinder Kaur Waraich

I was not born in calm or ease,

But in roaring skies and trembling seas.

The storm was not my end, but start,

It thundered strength into my heart.

I crawled through chaos, bruised and small,

Yet dreamed of starlit skies beyond it all.

The winds roared wild, but I did not flee,

For storms, I knew, were sculpting me.

I learned to walk where lightning fell,

And built my dreams where shadows dwell.

Each strike a lesson, no turning back,

Braving the dark with courage intact.

The world struck hard but I did not yield,

I turned my pain into my shield.

For gentle winds teach nothing grand,

Only storms forge who I am.

At last, one day, I claim the height,

Where horizon bends to greet my sight.

The peak appears through clouds of disdain,

Where light emerges from the rain.

The sun breaks through the storm’s retreat,

Its golden rays make struggle sweet.

My path now guides the daring few,

Who chase their dreams and make them true.

I have risen fierce, a warrior made,

Through every battle, unafraid.

Though more storms may come, I will never fall,

Unshaken, I will stand - I am Stormborn.
