Storm to hope

Every time you open the vents of your house,

To feel the swift breeze of a drizzle,

The cracked walls ache.

Like a sensor on a Highrise building,

Alarming an awaiting downpour,

Set to breach the walls.

It reminds you of past thunderstorms,

Strikes images in a single lightning bolt,

Flashing everything that it cost, at once.

So, you keep the vents closed.

Finding the cosiest corner,

You snooze till the marvel happens.

Vents & the cracks still threats

But you do not let it break you further.

Holding what is dear,

You hope for the storm to pass

And heal the cracks instead.
