My eyes sweep across

The fecundity of Demeter

Imprinting the beauty

As a tale for you

The subterranean bonds

Anchoring a vesture

Like your stable solace

That guides me forward

The river flows over the crag

Nurturing others

While creating a world

Separate from the swarm

The dulcet melody of birds

Engulfs the grove

Like murmurs

Between tables

The wind whispers

Stirring the leaves

Shuffle of notes

Under the forced hush

Light darting forward

Creating patterns

Stories woven

Through shared passions

An enticing sight

Of florid foliage

Worthy of a tapestry

And incandescent words

The breathing forest

That shelters others

Reminds me of

My benevolent sister

Not by blood

Cracks in our armour
