Stolen Images

stolen images captured on film

that transport me to another realm

moments of tears and moments of joy

almost like my heart’s ally

watching people jump and swing

connecting me to my past, a thin string

laughter fades and smiles are faint

in these images, my brain can paint

running along the beach and dancing by the shore

other memories long lost before

I feel myself in their presence again

In their aura, I feel akin

as the wind it rushes past my face

and their love, my heart’s embrace

these memories, they'll soon become dim

yet I stay in moments captured on film
