Spring comes by

spring comes by

every once in a while

bringing along an unanticipated surprise

light drizzles from its somber skies

droplets plummeting to the ground

a gift from Nature so profound.

spring rains fall,

and so do i;

for those ebony eyes

carrying warmth that rivals the sun’s

for every single ardent word

each one laced with irresistible charm

for that devilish smirk

so sly, yet so unfamiliarly sweet

spring comes by

every once in a while

and just like how its soft rivulets

as they cascade

become one with lands and sea

i wish, beg, pray for spring

to bring you to me.
