By Alex Thompson

Caption Of Artwork: The story behind this piece took place in New York City, March 15, I was on a trip with the Eagle Crest marching band. we had already been to Boston to see the Boston symphony which the trip was life changing, yet musical experience was matchless. This piece came to me when we had sat down to listen to the New York Phill Harmonic in the Manhattan Lincoln center. I had closed my eyes to fully invest myself into the piece and I never sat depicted the effect music has on a space as a listener. From the audiences perspective I depict a Separation between the background & foreground of the piece, to portray they way music literally and figuratively fills the air. The independent pathways ribboning our shows how a piece of music tells a story, and that the details are up to the listeners perspective.
