Soulful Confessions to Lord Muruga

By Aarthi Ramachandran

Love cannot be resisted but received with hearts wide open,

Not every tear of gratitude can be expressed, but cannot be repressed unspoken.

A love like yours, oh Muruga, is as vast as the space you occupy,

It flows through rivers, mountains, fires, earth, and the air we breathe, until we die.

You are all eyes, for your six faces see the beauty within and in those outside,

As you seek the diamond from the cave of our hearts aside.

In the mountains of dust of our surrender you dwell,

Wearing them bright and pure on your beautiful forehead, your loving acceptance makes our hearts swell.
