Song of Siren

Four moons and five days,

A chest of memories, to never erase.

The dunes were silent, apart from the tide,

The salted water rises as it climbs for a ride.

Where is the singing? Where are the notes?

Of that fair siren that sits behind the boats?

Bless her beauty, bless her allure.

Bless her ballads that come out so pure.

Waddling towards that exalted dame,

The realm was never the same.

She would glance at me, her lofty love.

She would beam at me while being a dove.

Holding me close, while humming in solace.

Her Ballads echoing while having me in her embrace.

Now the darling dove is interred,

Deep below the mud and dirt.

How harsh the serpent’s venom was!

That plagued her leg where it used its jaws.

The reaper took her away from me

As a serpent slithering on her knee.

May you sleep in solace, my fair siren.

May your songs and lyrics be strong as Iron.

The mouth of mine shall praise your charm.

And our bond in heavens shall have no harm.
