Stories that were heard

From grandmother's sweet voice Stories that were learnt

As we stumble, fall, and rise

Stories that were buried

Within the timeworn walls of history Stories that were unearthed From the depths of human ingenuity

Stories that were told for ages But never lost its hook

Stories that we fill the pages But never the whole book

Stories we behold

For the nostalgia they beget Stories that are untold

For the pain we may never forget

Stories we dismiss

By glimpsing their first chapter Stories that we miss

By meeting at their last chapter

All the stars we count

With our ten little fingers

All the stories we found

Within our one little life

What is this greed

But a wish to live all the stories? What is life

But a curse to live only one?

To these stories, I remain a spectator Except for the one I vividly author So, let me pen a riveting read For I am its dashing lead.
