Somewhere

By Sagarika Gourkhede

Here we are going back to somewhere

Where we could be loved,

cared, and roared.

Not being judged or scared.

The airplane takes back to you

for your soul to heal & feel.

The plane was always excited to sit on

Relaxing, looking amazed by the beauty

Of the sky

Now haunts me.

Taking me somewhere where I would be alone

It's not the airplane that makes it hard,

It's the choice, the point, the moment

Sometimes, it takes you home

 Sometimes, it takes you dome

The journey so long yet so glory

The journey I used to wait for

Now feels sorry.

The empty lanes, the long queues,

The stars aligned while moon blues.

The solitude of emotions is flowing away

Something feels in my way

Might be the delay of grays

Childhood happiness peaks out of

the window in excitement

The adult self looks at her shadow

Crying in confinement

The beauty of the sky from

above doesn't amuse her anymore

It falls apart like her soul,

Maybe leaving wasn't that hard

Or maybe coming back  wasn't that easy.

The airplane takes you somewhere

To maybe heal & feel
