Someday

By Sonal Rashid

It was a usual workday as nothing was gonna change but

life is unpredictable, right? Walking up the stairs making

up excuses for being late I dreamed of having a

simpleton breakfast, without the rush of the city.

After getting a blast from our boss, we had our last session of

MBSR classes. I sat there peacefully but my mind

wandered off to the land of loans, which is not a happy

place. We greeted Miss Charu who by the way had a

beautiful smile. We all had a chit chat with her and then

she asked us to close our eyes for the meditation. I was

happy to do it as who wouldn't love a nap time in the

office without the boss looking over your shoulder.

Charu made us to remember the first time we played in

the rain, the first time we played goli and so on. I don't

remember what else she asked us to do as the rain

made me remember you. It was all you Pari, it was all

you and nothing else. I opened my eyes and rubbed off

a drop of tear and hoped that someday you might

remember me in the same way. You might be someone

else's but your memories are mine and mine alone.
