Solitude

Sometimes wish I could live in a bubble,

To clear my mind of all the rubble,

Leave distractions far behind,

Get in touch with my own mind,

Be unreachable to all and sundry,

See far beyond the horizon and boundary,

Think and feel, be on an even keel,

Food for thought, craving it a great deal,

Unhinged like a broken latch,

Seems like forever in a rough patch,

Float like a feather,

However stormy the weather,

Break away from all the shackles,

Leave behind the howling jackals.
