Solitude

How I enjoy solitude

Dating often with myself

My heart fills with gratitude

As my imagination transcends self.

I feel the sublime beauty

In the springs and the fountains

While savouring nature’s bounty

Around the snow clad mountains.

The bush-walk in the dark

The reverie by the sea

The songbirds at the park

Such fond memories amaze me.

But my thoughts love to wander

Searching deeper into my mind

Discovering in utmost candour

Adoring ‘love’ is my kind.

As I introspect quietly

I can see myself evolving

Nurturing relationships gingerly

While being more forgiving.

I cherish much my solitude

In that space when I dwell in

My self-awareness whispers-‘Dude,

Seek happiness from within’.
