Solace in Scars

Nothing tastes sweet like agony,

Neither is it bitter nor pricky;

Rather it is a refuge

For those who suffer;

A bit ironic, some might opine.

Nonetheless, let agony devour you,

Let it pierce your flesh and bones,

Let it conquer your uncertainties,

Let it shatter your brittle heart.

Lost; you might feel;

It is only a matter of time

Till you are back on your feet,

Feeling alive again,

Primed to fight the world.

Agony’s not eternal;

For change is constant.
