Snowflakes

There comes a point in life that breaks,

Every single thought, and that's all it takes,

To take away the peace, withering in flakes,

Scattered all around as I get the shakes,

The trembling waves, the outbreaks,

That slither down my spine like snakes,

Creeping down silently by the lakes,

While the poison slowly slakes,

Every thought and memory that awakes,

Disrupting the very world that makes,

Me feel alive and sane, and now it aches,

To see my soul turn cold as it forsakes,

The warmth of life, slowly opaques,

My sense of reasoning and mistakes,

Consumed by the chaos, as it overtakes,

My frozen jade soul and remakes,

A world where only the Winter intakes,

A place so white and empty as daybreaks,

So fragile, even the slightest of quakes,

Reminds me, we're nothing but snowflakes.
