Smudged and Stained

Velvet red long sharply, almond-shaped nails.

Velvet red glossy lipstick that I smudge, oh so often.

Velvet red lacy lingerie as you whisper those forbidden words in my ear.

Velvet red drops of blood that slide down your back.

Velvet red lips that linger just too long,

Velvet red tongue that flickers over my skin.

Velvet red silky pillowcase our hair lays on — tangled.

Velvet red heat in our groans — belly-deep, unstoppable.

Velvet red bite marks that you often leave behind, on secret locations on my skin.

Velvet red bruise marks on my wrists, your fingers perfectly drawn.

Velvet red ash burns along my stomach.

Velvet red love bites on my neck.

The velvet red is everywhere — in and on me.

A stain I never want to wash off.
