Smiling Clouds

By Sujatha.R

They are charming cumulus

They are dressed in white

They are soft and silky

They are cotton balls

They are sometimes widespread like thin white sheets

When I swing on a Swing to and fro they gleamed at me

The sun beams radiantly shone

Could hear the whispering of sparrows and cuckoos at morn

I could wear the lovely frocks and maxis, color my nails

I could eat the rabbit, elephant, fish shaped biscuits

The dark clouds appeared showering rains continuously

It filled up all dams and rivers

more rains and more rains

I wondered if it would be another Noah's ark

It was sorrowful arrows for me in life

Shuddered me

Could not find balance between life and choice

Took years to remove the negativity

Then came the rainbow

The clouds were again charming cumulus

The sun smiled and beamed again

The garden bloomed with flowers

Now I wear Jeans and Salwar

Now I eat Chocolates and Ice creams

There is spring and winter too

I smiled at the clouds..
