Smile - A Beautiful Lie

By Vikasini. Y

In the realm where truths reside,

A smile oft conceals what lies inside,

A delicate dance of artifice and guile,

A tender mask, a beautiful smile.

Like a picture-perfect scene in a play,

A deceptive guise, an act on display,

For behind those lips, a story lies,

Elusive secrets, veiled in disguise.

Beneath the warmth that the smile imparts,

Lies a world unseen, where darkness starts,

A labyrinth of sorrows, hidden behind,

An intricate web, the mind's design.

Beware the beauty that a smile can bring,

For under its charm, shadows take wing,

A symphony of laughter that wounds the heart,

A masterpiece of illusion, tearing us apart.

Yet amidst the depths of this delicate charade,

Resides the hope for which we've prayed,

For within every lie, a truth can be found,

A flicker of redemption, profound.

So let us not be fooled by the smile's grace,

But seek the truth in every embrace,

For in our deepest wounds, love resides,

Amidst the beauty of the beautiful lie.
