Smile
By Raag
Everyone dressed in black,
Except one
Watching as the figure in white is brought out
The decaying body
A body with,
skin as pale as the snow that bursts from those anguished clouds that mourn
The muscles non-existent.
The bones sticking out.
Dressed completely in white.
The body completely worn out,
The serene face that once smiled.
Though at peace, a worry lingers in the body
A grueling, gruesome thought.
A thought so painful.
A thought that pierces every soul present there,
A thought that's unethical, and disgusting
A murderous, treacherous thought
An anger that should have vanished,
An anger that should have vanished after the soul left
Yet, it didn't leave.
The people watched in black as the body was being lowered into the fire
Dressed completely in red
They saw him smile
A fiendish smile
A last laugh as his body started burning

I really liked this poem—simple, meaningful, and easy to connect with.
