Have I been programmed to show it

Or is it just a fire left long lit?

I think of ways to shut it away

But there seems no possible way.

It was me who let it reside in anyway,

But is it really necessary to flaunt its presence every day?

Somedays it angers me with its intrusion

Still, I fail to come up with an effective solution.

Though it is sweet & friendly when it appears

It has to be controlled to induce little respect & fear.

There are times when it makes me look ridiculous

And I hope people don’t consider me frivolous.

When I look back and question its presence

I see it every day without any absence.

Even competent words fall weak in its existence

And that’s why against it I wish to have some resistance.
