Sin Is The Thing With Scales

By Joshua

Sin is the thing with scales

beneath it stalks and creeps

nary a rustle, nary a hint

in tongue and fang it hisses

It’s eye in demonic glint

And venom slowly it drips

like dew from its teeth

then temptation bites you

graces you with its kiss

strikes you where it’s tender

but oh it tastes so sweet
