She'll smile politely

Working into the wee hours of dawn

Surrounding herself in the calm of silence.

Dishing out the magic words

That she means with every fibre of her being.

Manners, courtesies - she's got it down pat.

Don't be fooled by the polite niceties,

Generosity, and kindness

For naivety.

She observes, she knows.

She sees.

You undermine.

But she is no push over.

She is the silent worker,

Minding her own.

And one day,

The world will see -

The beauty in silence.
