Silent screams

there is a churning in me, a turning, spinning silence

i scream and scream to rise up in my defiance!

i shall not be moved, i am bold, the strength of a woman is my mould

but so i’m told and now i’m old, my story did not unfold

There is a burning in me, a fire that can not be quenched

Though the waters pour and drag me to the floor, I rise up from this trench!

I am a tigress, I am a lioness, a mountain of finesse

I will devour my predator, I am more than before and never less

See me now, feel my thunder, I am a mighty queen of warriors

Lay your hand on me and see, I will rise up victorious!

The storms may come and floods will rise, the winds blow and blow

But deep in me this militia will grow and glow

there is a burning in me, a dwindling, crippling silence

i hear the steps closing in to annihilate my defiance!

i am moved, I am cold, the strength of fear is my mould

but so i’m told and now i’m old, my story did not unfold
