Silent Night

Updated: Feb 13

By Catherine Mervyn Gilbert

As the baby weeps

And it goes to sleep

The mother prays

And then she says

‘Good night, silent night ‘

When the lights go off

And the stars twinkle like a diamond bright

As the owl hoots

And then stops

Now we all say

‘Silent night’
