Silent Journeys

Updated: Jul 5, 2025

In the crowded metro, they shuffle, they sway,

faces buried in screens, as the world slips away.

each one a burden, a heart full of strain,

lost in the chaos, they wear their own pain.

students with textbooks, their brows furrowed tight,

dreams weighed down by pressure, they fight through the night.

young professionals rushing, with deadlines to meet,

exhausted and weary, they drag heavy feet.

the elderly gaze out, with stories untold,

memories flicker like shadows of gold.

they search for connection, a hand to hold near,

but in this vast crowd, they drown in their fear.

though surrounded by many, a truth they all know,

in this bustling metro, they’re lonely, not alone.

the air thick with silence, hearts aching in tune,

each soul feels the weight of a forgotten afternoon.

stressed and so tired, they wear masks of despair,

smiles painted on faces, but the sadness is bare.

they long for a moment, a glance, or a word,

to break through the silence, to truly be heard.

let’s lift up the curtain, let’s reach for the light,

in this shared human struggle, we’ll find our own fight.

together in sorrow, together we’ll rise,

finding strength in connection, beneath these gray skies.
