In earlier times, in the Dravidian region, there was a great devotee of Lord Shiva called Nandanar. He was a landless farmer who was working for a rich landlord in the Dravidian region. Once, he wanted to go to Chidambaram and get the darshan of Natraj (Lord Shiva). When he went to ask permission from his landlord, his landlord told him to go, but to do these works and then go, plough 600 acres of land, sow the seeds, harvest the crops, bundle the crops and keep them in the storage area, and clear the 600 acres of land and keep it ready for the next harvest. Hearing this, Nandanar was devastated and started thinking about going to Chidambaram. It will take him a whole day and night to reach Chidambaram and get the darshan of Lord Natraj. Thinking all this, he screamed loudly, saying "Shiva," and fainted. Lord Shiva, who was in his abode at Kailash, was watching all the incidents happening on Earth. Seeing all these

incidents, he summoned Parvati, Ganesha, and Subramanya. They all came down to Earth and took the form of humans. Lord Shiva tied his dhoti and tilled 600 acres of land; Parvati sowed the seed; Ganesha did special watering and moved the plants as they grew bigger; and Subramanya harvested the crops and stored them in the storage area. Later, Shiva again cleaned the land and kept it ready for the next harvest. When Nandanar regained consciousness, he was shocked that all his work, which would have taken at least 6 months to complete, was completed in 2 hours. He realised that Lord Shiva had helped him. When Nandanar went and told the landlord that the work was completed, he was shocked but had to let Nandanar go to Chidambaram. Nandanar went to Chidambaram and did all kinds of sevas to Lord Natraj (Shiva) to show how thankful he was to Shiva.

If we believe in God heartily, he will always help us and show us a way to solve our problem.
