She Is

She is the tremor in your heart

when a lie escapes your lips.

She is the spread under your feet

when your sole wears out.

She is not just a thin ray

dancing on your glossy floor.

She is every faceless shadow

you walk across to hide away from.

She is the clink of your dry cup

and the blink you often try to rub.

She is a weightless sheet

and a heavy log floating away.

She is your scattered yesterday

and your treasured tomorrow.

She is the space between words

and a poem out of your imagination.
