In the bloom of life, we danced through golden days,
With hearts untamed, in a world ablaze,
Our steps were light, our spirits free,
As innocence whispered its sweet decree.
But time, relentless, did its part,
And youth's embrace began to depart,
The world grew heavy, shadows fell,
As life's cruel truths, in silence, they'd tell.
No more the laughter of carefree mirth,
Innocence lost, a bittersweet rebirth,
For youth, like a morning dream, did fade,
Leaving echoes of memories in its shade.
Oh, the days of innocence, how they flew,
In the light of youth, so bright and true,
Yet though those days are forever gone,
Their spirit lives in the hearts we've drawn.
So let us remember, in twilight's grace,
The beauty of youth, in life's fleeting embrace,
Innocence's gift, now a distant star,
Forever remembered, though near or far.

Innocence must be preserved, never let go of it from your heart.
Very nice
This poem takes me back to the days of my youth and is reminiscent of the adventurous spirit that once was. Very raw, very pure, amazing!
Thanks for sharing this amazing piece of Poem. I haven't read something as good as this in a long time, it just takes me back to those good 'ol days of reading Shakespeare's and Wilde's.
What really touched me was... "Oh, the days of innocence, how they flew,"
If you give up writing now, the world just lost a great poet, please keep writing. Your words make me think deeply. :)
